What is the problem with Web sites using Macromedia Flash?

From a search engine optimization point of view, flash Web sites do not do well in the search engines due to a lack of page content which is needed for the search engines to collect keyword phrases or keywords from.

Flash website design has not enough content for the search engine to crawl. Google Webmaster Help Center has a specific answer to the question: Does Google index sites that use Macromedia Flash?
"...consider using a text browser such as to examine your site. If features such as Flash keep you from seeing all of your site in a text browser, then search engine spiders may have trouble crawling your site..." Source: Webmaster Help Center.

So, even if search engines are indeed indexing the information in Flash, our recommendation is still to not design your entire Web site with it.
